Abstract

Alzheimer's disease, Babinski reflex, Bell's palsy, Charcot osteoarthropathy, Magendii foramen, Sydenham's chorea, Willis circuit, Pick's disease, Bernard-Horner syndrome, forameno of Monro and many other technical terms are common parts of medical vocabulary. In the form of so-called eponyms, assigned to certain diseases, tests, reflexes or anatomical structures, they recall their discoverers, diversify scientific terminology and often facilitate professional communication.
