Abstract
This article explains the phenomenon of so called "British invasion" - cultural phenomenon, when rock and pop music groups from Britain tended to be more and more popular in the United States. That brought also more interest in British culture and also rebel rock "contraculture", which was on the rise on the both sides of Atlantic ocean in youth cultures at that time.
Article also explains the term "Beatlemania", which started the first wave of British invasion.
