Eye-tracking: New challenges and possibilities od education research

Publication

Abstract

Eye-tracking is a method based on tracking of eye movements. It is known mainly from psychology or marketing, but in recent years, it has been increasingly applied in educational research.

Thanks to the use of this method, education researchers can obtain information about respondents and the processes taking place in monitoring the stimuli (tasks, briefings, experiments, images, textbooks ...), which remained secret from them without the use of eye movements. The seminar aims to acquaint participants with the methodology of this type of research, possible problems in its use, the most common research designs and the future of such oriented research.
