Abstract

Hemorrhoids, noduli haemorrhoidales, are a common and physiological component of the rectum. Like a venous knit found in the submucosa of the anal canal, at the inner mouth as internal hemorrhoids, at the external as external, between intermediate hemorrhoids are usually created by both knitters.

Functionally participates as hydraulic cushions on quality continence by gently sealing the rectum, which complement the function of the sphincter. The term hemorrhoids is common and incorrectly indicate all conditions with various pathological manifestations, ie symptomatic hemorrhoids.

Correct the term for these conditions used in DP is "hemorrhoidal disease" (HN). Hemorrhoidal disease is a common health problem.

Mild difficulties are usually tolerated or resolved self-medication. Repeated and more serious difficulties lead the patient to a general practitioner (VPL).

Complications then require interdisciplinary cooperation and specialized treatment. The aim of this DP is to summarize the current one knowledge of hemorrhoidal disease, provide general practitioner support in his approach and offer options for solving complicated cases in cooperation with specialists.
