Use of telemedicine in the care of patients with type 1 diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic

Publication at Second Faculty of Medicine |
2021

Abstract

The authors concluded that the rapid transition to screening for patients with type 1 diabetes in the form of telemedicine following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic did not have a significant impact on the use of diabetic health care for these patients except non-English-speaking and Medicaid-insured children. These groups deserve attention in order to prevent growing disparities in the provision of diabetological care.
