Abstract

The puerperium is the period up to the 42nd day after the end of labor. It is characterized by the remission of physiological and pathophysiological changes associated with the adaptation of the organism to pregnancy, the healing of possible peripartum injuries and the development of lactation.

Although this is a period of key importance for the quality of the woman's future life, it is not always given sufficient attention - partly because the woman herself is fully child-oriented and tends to downplay any health problems. One of our most experienced obstetricians - doc.

MUDr. Tomas Fait, Ph.D. - prepared a book publication, which will be an excellent guide to medical issues, especially for gynecologists, but also for doctors of other professions.

The book is rich in information, but at the same time very clear.
