Staged scalp soft tissue expansion before CAD/CAM porous polyethylen cranioplasty

Abstract

Delayed cranioplasty may be accompanied by skin atrophy, which is an obstacle to cranioplasty. In these cases, we perform scalp dilatation using subcutaneous expanders.

We present successful cases of staged scalp soft tissue expansion before secondary CAD/CAM porous polyethylene cranioplasty.
