Abstract
The topics of the study is an origin and early rise at first of villas resorts of social elits of Prague in the time from 70th of 19th century to 1st world war. And than and than villas-cottage resorts of all Pragues social classes and groups.
Recreation resorts were concentrated mostly in vallyes of river Berounka ("Old river"), Vltava ("Great river") and Sázava ("Gold river"). Not only nearness of Prague, also possibilty of swimming, local facilities in small towns a villages and railway stations were very important for existence of recreation resorts.
As a result of development of recreation resorts the countryside around Prague was quickly transformed in to an amusements park of Prague.
