The approach to Physics Education in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland and Slovenia

Abstract

The paper presents results of a comparative study dealing with physics education at lower secondary schools. The main aim of the study is to compare national curricula of four chosen countries - the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland and Slovenia.

The study focuses on comparison of teaching content and learning outcomes in physics, interdisciplinary education and cross-curricula subjects, educational methods and assessment and field-specific key competences.
