Abstract

The expression of cytokine receptors CD25 (IL-2R alpha), CD116 (hGM-CSFR), CD117 (CSFR), CD120a (TNFR 55kD), CD120b (TNFR, 75kD),CD 121a (IL-IR type I), CDw123 (IL-3R), CD124 (IL-4R),CD116 (IL-6R), CD127 (IL-7R), CDw128 (IL-8R) and CD130 (IL-6R) with pathological cells of patients with blood malignancies was studied Cells from peripheral blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes of 52 patients with acute leukaemia and lymphomas with a high leukocyte count and percentage of blasts were evaluated by immunofluorescence and immunohistological methods, The findings indicate that cytokine receptors were detected on pathological cells in individual cases, but with very variable qualitative and quantitative expression (number of molecules/cell). The evaluation and specification of cytokine receptors on the pathological cells forms the background for cytokine therapy of blood malignancies.
