Abstract
Successful type 1 diabetes melitus treatment means ensuring that the right amount of insulin is delivered at the right time. Based on continuous monitoring of subcutaneous blood glucose, modern devices can adjust the supply of basal insulin by the insulin pump.
The patient enters only the amount of carbohydrates or physical activity information into the pump when set correctly. The text summarizes the similarities and differences of the systems approved in the Czech Republic, including indications for their use.
