Abstract
The paper deals with the procedures applied by the Prague Court of Appeal in the last third of the 17th century. The starting point are the books of the sessions of the larger and smaller chambers of the Court of Appeal, which are supplemented by the books of ortels and a partial probe into one of the city archives.
The present work has a twofold part - quantitative and quantitative. The aim of the qualitative part of the analysis carried out is to define the range of tasks that fell to the smaller and larger chambers of the Court of Appeal and to derive their remit from this.
The quantitative part of the research is then to ascertain the frequency of sessions of the unitary chambers and their composition. The data thus obtained will then be confronted with the legislation relevant to the functioning and organisation of the Court of Appeal during the period under study.
