Abstract
This publication is focused on consideration of the position of Russian language as an academic course in secondary school and university as a second (third) foreign language in Czech Republic. The author is sharing her practical work experience and analyzing current challenges of the system of education (including distance education) faced by pedagogues and students.
As an example, she presents the data of the student survey "Pros and Cons of Distance Learning Russian Language", conducted in 2021 in the Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic) and Moscow State City University (Russia). The author is sharing the information on the latest textbooks and monographs on studying Russian language and culture published in Czech Republic.
