The article clearly introduces the issue of assessing disability in cancer patients. The authors express the opinion that the current assessment criteria for assessing disability in oncological diseases correspond to the standards of modern medicine.
For other groups of diseases, however, they propose to update the assessment criteria according to the suggestions of the professional medical public. At the end of the article, on the contrary, in connection with the results of the MLSA public contract from 2016, they propose to legislatively amend the form and requirements of the disability decision and the disability report.
Optimization of the medical assessment service is possible only by introducing supporting IT systems, especially the system to support decision- making, Fraud and Abuse Management System.
