On Saturday, April 30, 2016, the first living uterine transplant in the Czech Republic took place at the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) in Prague. Many women in the Czech Republic who were born without a uterus (uterine agenesis) or lost it most often for oncological reasons before conceiving their first child had a smile on their lips in connection with this report.
They gained another impulse not to give up their journey and a dream - to give birth to their own child.
