The author, a gynecologist and obstetrician from the Motol University Hospital, accompanies future mothers with all the joys and worries of pregnancy, from the very beginning - including preconception preparation - until the end of the sixth week. The chapters are divided according to the individual months of pregnancy and correspond to regular visits to the pregnancy clinic.
It tries to address the most important problems and information current in the given period of pregnancy. The practical guide is based on the customs of current Czech gynecological and obstetric practice (ie it describes current information concerning mother and child care in Czech maternity hospitals and pregnancy clinics at the beginning of the 21st century).
