Abstract
Is antiquity really something remote and we do not have anything in common with it? The paper presents reasons why this premise is not valid, as well as many examples that prove that the ancient origin of names, phenomena etc. is hidden to many users, however, it still exists. Those who are able to recognize it, can discover many deep connections not only in history but also in the present.
