Abstract

The paper deals with regulatory governance as an expanding phenomenon in the field of social sciences, the introductory part defines regulation as a public policy tool used to influence social processes in the intended direction, especially to eliminate or reduce the impact of social and market problems. The next part describes the genesis of secondary regulatory instruments and the expansion of decentralized agencies, which influence social coexistence through expert and technocratic decision-making.

Finally, it discusses the extension of this instrument to the present in the context of the Czech Republic's membership in the European Union and the resulting commitments.
