The project Early Detection of COPD in High-Risk Populations - What are the preliminary results?

Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a serious and progressive disease that is highly underdiagnosed. In the Czech Republic, a pilot project named Early Detection of COPD in High-Risk Populations was initiated in 2018 by the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic.

The project aims to identify new patients with COPD in a pre-defined risk population.
