Abstrakt
In this book on freedom and individuality in Schelling, I undertake a comprehensive analysis of Schelling's 1809 writing on freedom in a liberal and individualistic key. In this sense, my book involves a dissonant interpretation of Schelling's ethico-political legacy within the framework of so-called "German idealism", a movement characterised in Fichte and Hegel by a defence of the state as the privileged form of social organisation, the collectivist consequences of which I criticise here on the basis of my exegesis of Schelling.
This is a volume intended for all those who are interested in the intersection between metaphysics and practical philosophy.
