Abstract
The text deals with the issue of surrogacy and presents its definition, history, typology, and legal framework. Surrogacy is a method of assisted reproduction, which has its traditional forms and contemporary moral issues.
The text focuses on the ethical aspects of surrogate motherhood and shows the moral problems of this reproductive method, which is not covered by law in the Czech Republic, and where dozens, perhaps hundreds, of children are born to surrogate mothers every year.
