ADHD from the point of view of primary school teachers - a review study

Abstract

The paper is in the nature of a review study; presents the results of research of foreign and domestic literary sources on the topic of knowledge and misperceptions of teachers about ADHD in the context of education of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. We focused on research studies of quantitative design using questionnaire survey.

We were interested in which area about ADHD is least known to teachers and what are the misconceptions of teachers. A good knowledge of the issue of this developmental disorder, an understanding of the context and knowledge of the possibilities of effective support for the child in managing its manifestations is a basic prerequisite for the school success of a pupils with ADHD.
