Abstract

In response to the comments by Drs Lin and Chen, we would first like to underscore that the Prague OHCA Study did not enroll any patients with ROSC. Patients with early ROSC (n = 1263) were not considered for study inclusion, as outlined in Figure 1 of our article.

Our study randomized patients after at least of 5 minutes of initial advanced cardiac life support. However, the median time from collapse to randomization was 25 minutes, and the median duration of resuscitation was 52.5 minutes.

The initial period of 25 minutes before randomization included approximately 8 to 10 minutes for the emergency medical service crews to reach the scene and 15 to 17 minutes of initial resuscitation.
