Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2022

Abstract

In this talk, the underlying ontology of toponomastic data and approaches for a corresponding implementation in data structures is discussed. The goals are to maximize the systematicity and uniformity of the data, to integrate linguistic analyses and other distinguishing features and to ensure good transferability after completion of the respective project.

The focus lies on the treatment of attested name forms and their subdivision into constituent morphological objects.
