Abstract

The aim of the paper is to present the particular steps of preparing a questionnaire method suitable for measuring the level of knowledge of intergenerational family narratives in adults. The text gives a precise definition of the measured phenomenon in the context of already existing theoretical frameworks.

It presents an Ecological systems model of family narratives and briefly describes the method used to measure a similar phenomenon abroad. The paper further summarizes the generation of items, the review by experts, the inclusion of a validation item and the creation of a pilot version of the questionnaire method.
