The study in the field of school management is focused on the problematic situation within the leadership, management and administration of the Czech school (hereinafter referred to as school management). First, we focus on the situation in the Czech school space.
Available studies and professional literature show how extensive the powers and responsibilities of Czech school principals are, or how the board of directors is aging and there is no willingness of younger students to enter this profession. Furthermore, how efforts to resolve this situation are still ineffective.
The study also focuses on the specific approach of Waldorf schools, which have practically applied the so-called collegial school management practically since its inception more than a hundred years ago. Based on foreign literature in particular and the results of field research, we bring reflection on this way of running a school as a possible inspiration.
