Research in the field of school management is focused on one specific form of school management, leadership and administration (school management), which has not been further analyzed and described in the Czech Republic. First, I define the current situation of school management within the Czech school space.
That is, management from the perspective of the director, his/her extensive powers, but also responsibilities. Based on available studies and lit- erature in the field of school management.
I also describe the management of the school in Waldorf schools, which is based on collegial management. Using mainly foreign literature, especially German, and further from field research at some Waldorf schools.
The conclusion and discussion reflect on the possible inspiration of this practice.
