Models of Regulation of New Technologies in an Era of Socio-technological Change

Publication at Faculty of Law |
2022

Abstract

This article explores the relationship between law, society, and new technologies. The first part introduces the concepts of socio-technological change and policy drift.

The second part tries to show, using examples from competition law and intellectual property law, that these concepts can be relevant to the field of Business law. The last part focuses on models of how legal systems can respond to these phenomena, which it argues can also be considered methodological approaches in the field of doctrinal legal science.
