The Internet, digital platforms (and the metaverse in the future) allow us to work from virtually anywhere and with anyone. These phenomena pose a real challenge for private law and labour law which has not undergone the digital revolution yet and is still tightly connected with employers - large industrial enterprises.
The lecture focuses on the conclusion of the employment contract in this environment and several other private laws impacts, specifics of algorithmic management and finally also problematic of determination of law applied in the context of work performed in the metaverse.
