Abstract

The lecture responds to current topics that school psychologists encounter in their practice. It deals with practical experiences of working with refugees.

It describes the normal reactions of individuals to major stressful events, the development of crisis reactions and their phases. It also offers insight into what helps vulnerable individuals cope with such crisis situations and what a psychologist can do if needed for support, especially crisis intervention.
