Legal implications of restitution on the use of monuments connected to minorities

Abstract

After a brief summary of the general legal regulation of restitution in the Czech Republic, attention is focused on the restitution of works of art, especially artworks transferred during the period of the so called Time of Oppression. The practice of restitution is described in detail, as well as its consequences for collection-making institutions.
