A new educational project called Epidemic-Pandemic-Archaeology reflects the current topic of the global pandemic. It is designed as an interactive trip to ancient times, during which visitors will learn about the form of various epidemics from prehistoric to modern times and about the methods of their treatment.
Using augmented reality, we introduce visitors to the traces that various diseases leave on human bones, we will take a look at the herbarium of medicinal plants, which will come to life before your eyes with the help of a special application, and there will also be a medical leech in the backyard of the spa. Each time epoch is represented by one building of the West Bohemian Museum in the historical center of Pilsen - prehistoric times in the main building, the Middle Ages in the Museum of Religious Art of the Pilsen Diocese in the Franciscan monastery, and the modern era in the Museum of Puppets on the Republic Square.
