Abstract
The study focuses on the emic description of the wedding ceremony in Czech villages in the region of Serbian Banat. The reconstruction of the wedding ritual is based on the experience of the local people, many of whom participated in the institution in several different roles.
The fieldwork was conducted in two villages with the historical Czech settlement (Češko Selo, Kruščice).
