Abstract
The professional seminar, which was intended for students and other interested parties, was devoted to the possibilities of supporting children's mental health in schools. It dealt with the role of a beginning teacher and the question of how he should take care of himself in order to be able to support the students.
Presented were the current psychological difficulties among school children, which are related to social events affecting students (COVID-19, war in Ukraine). There was also information on the use of the system of support outside education (health care, non-profit organizations) and on support within the school - through the staff of school counselling centres.
