Abstract

In recent years, there has been a massive shift from traditional teaching style to more effective active learning methods also at the university level, especially in introductory courses. At our department, we have successfully integrated this approach into some of our physics courses for future teachers and applied it for several years.

Ongoing pandemic situation and the need to teach distantly meant a big challenge for everyone, who decided not to resign to keeping high quality and interactivity of the instruction. Naturally, we were looking for the best ways to implement active learning into distance education - accepting this challenge meant searching for suitable online tools, testing their possibilities, and gradually acquiring experiences.
