Abstract
We presented with Dr. Barták educational videos and commented on them. They are available on the SIDECAR platform and on the IPVZ. We discussed the following topics:
1) Psychosocial intervention,
2) The course of dementia diagnosis,
3) Formal and informal caregivers, their changing needs according to the progression of the disease,
4) Health and social services available to these caregivers,
5) Social and legal counseling 6 ), the importance of early diagnosis and subsequent support,
7) The role of general practitioners, screening, memory clinics, dementia/friendly hospitals,
8) An integrated approach to people living with dementia based on WHO recommendations and the resulting National Strategic Plans.
