Abstract

A 20 minute presentation about two works of autobiography, one being Rosaleen McDonagh's Unsettled, the other Úna-Minh Kavanagh's Anseo. Both were analysed for their representation of what it can mean to be Irish today.

Both talk about identity - nationa and personal -, family, growing up in Ireland and facing racism, sexism and other discrimination.
