In the Czech Republic we lack any tool for assessing the level of social skills of school-age children. The aim of this study is to verify and adapt the rating scale named The Walker-McConnell Scale of Social Competence and School Adjustment: A Social Skills Rating Scale for Teachers, which is used for screening of social skills deficits among elementary school children.
The scale was administrated to teachers (N = 15) and teaching assistants (N = 15) who completed it for 307 pupils. Based on the collected data, statistical analysis assessing psychometric properties of the Czech version of the scale will be performed.
