An effective-one-body waveform model for intermediate and extreme mass ratio inspirals

Abstract

Intermediate and extreme mass ratio black hole binaries will be among the main sources of the future gravitational wave detectors, like LISA and TianQin. To detect the signal and to recover the black hole parameters, one needs accurate waveform templates, that should remain faithful during the whole duration of the inspiral.

I will present an effective-one-body waveform model specifically built for this purpose, also benchmarking it to some gravitational self-force results.
