Abstract

The paper informs about the interim results of the study, which aims to verify the level of selected basic knowledge in the field of hygiene and epidemiology among students at the Faculty of Education, Charles University, studying in the Lifelong Learning Programme for the performance of the profession. So far, 500 respondents have participated in the questionnaire survey.

Respondents completed a questionnaire consisting of two parts, a total of 23 questions. The first part focused on selected attitudes, opinions and the second part contained a didactic test implemented through open questions.

Correct answers from the didactic test in the monitored period 2020 - 2022 were 14.9% more than in the monitored period 2017 - 2019. The authors of the article are aware that due to the ongoing research, the presented research survey cannot be generalized, but they already believe that in connection with legislation and epidemiological studies of the incidence of infectious diseases, it will be necessary to specify specifically the content and conditions of the implementation of the program of preparation of future teachers (lifelong learning course graduates) in the field of health literacy at Charles University, Faculty of Education.
