From 19 to 22 September 2022, groups of students from Wales, Germany, Greece and the Czech Republic met in the framework of the Erasmus+ project. During the week, the students and teachers were introduced to modern geo-information systems technologies with a focus on global navigation satellite systems and also remote sensing.
The programme also included a tour of Prague, during which students tried collecting spatial data using their own mobile phones with GPS. The open source application KoboToolbox was used.
The collected data was then processed into a thematic map in the QGIS software. In the second part of the course, participants were introduced to the cloud-based application - Sentinel Hub EO Broswer for processing optical and radar satellite data, which they used to explore landscape changes.
