Abstract

Comparative case study of recent developments in Czech and Polish higher education. Relying on the process-tracing method, the authors show how the configuration and strategies of organized academic interests vis-à-vis the state and the state’s capacity to govern the sector have resulted in strikingly divergent recent developments in the governance of both higher education systems.
