In this sense, the Czech L1 syllabus focuses on the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be attained at the end of cycles 1, 2 and 3 of the secondary cycle.
According to the syllabus policy in the European schools, the updated Czech L1 syllabus includes general objectives, didactic principles, learning objectives, content and assessment and allows the students' acquisition of these aforementioned competences. The structure of the syllabus is expanded through a comentary in annexes: Written examination: paperspecific matrix, sample Baccalaureate examination paper, subject-specific generic matrix, and marking scheme. Oral examination: guidelines for use, sample Baccalaureate examination, subject specific oral assessment record sheet.
