This monograph, consisting of six historical analyses and three contributions of a memoir and overview nature, provides an overall view of the century-long history of Czech (Slovene)-Albanian relations - not only diplomatic and economic relations, but also cultural, interpersonal and educational relations. This book establishes that the Czechs and Albanians, despite their geographical distance and not always strong political ties, have in the past developed and continue to develop both strong business relations and mutual sympathies.
These are based on past ties but also on an increase in direct contacts. Today, one hundred years after the establishment of diplomatic relations, the sympathies and contacts between Czechs and Albanians appear even stronger.
