What do elementary and high school pupils of the Czech Republic think about classical antiquity? Do they believe its knowledge is important and beneficial for present society? Do ěthey see the context with the present? What do they know and remember the most? What topics are they interested in the most? Moreover, what are they interested in, but do not learn in schools? This poster will present results of the first year of the project supported by the Grant Agency of Charles University which deals with the perspective of Czech pupils on classical antiquity and its presentation in school education. During the first year of the project the method of survey-questionnaire in two phases was used to measure pupils' perspectives and school teachers were interviewed. More than five hundred pupils from eighteen different schools delivered their answers, which will elucidate the relationship between pupils from the Czech Republic and classical antiquity, and thereby also Classical Archaeology.
