This is a conference that has traditionally been held (fourth in a row) at the Faculty of Education of Charles University. Its aim was to present new findings arising from research and projects, but also to give space to practical experiences and best practices from all activities supporting the development of reading literacy and reading among our pupils, from the perspective of various scientific disciplines. In the morning program, the memory of prof. Zdenek Matějček, who would have lived to be 100 years old this year. The conference papers covered the following topics: didactic aspects of literacy skills, methods and methodologies; activities of schools, parents and organizations to promote reading and literacy; understanding as a factor in literacy development; support for development in the field of artistic literacy; topics for the work of consultants in the field of diagnostics in schools and school counseling facilities; support and development of literacy skills in schools and school counseling facilities.
There were 35 contributions in the morning plenary session and in the afternoon 6 sections and 1 workshop.
