A little or a lot? Employee participation in the management of the company and its net profit in Czechoslovakia in the 20th century as a historiographical theme

Abstract

An old cartoon by Josef Lada shows one of the social novelties of the early 1920s: a meeting of two councils, the Mr. Commercial Council in a top hat and the newly minted Mr.

Workers' Council. The topic of employee participation in company management and also their participation in the company's net profit, has almost disappeared from Czech modern historical memory.
