HELLP syndrome diagnosis from the radiologist point of view

Abstract

HELLP (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes and low platelet count) syndrome is a rare complication of pregnancy. The diagnosis of H ELLP syndrome is based ona laboratory test.

Imaging methods play a complementary role, in case of suspicion of more severe liver disease or in the event of a sudden deterioration of the mother's condition. The aim of our article is to familiar the radiological public with the possible findings of this relatively rare condition.
