Media Education: From Theory to Practice is a new publication by the team of authors from several departments of the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Social Studies of the Charles University. The book has an interdisciplinary character, the authors are representatives of linguistics, social science, but also natural science.
The collection of worksheets (with theoretical background) was formed for the subject Media Education at the primary and secondary schools, but also for the students at the Faculty of Education. In the paper we present the aims, structure and topics of the book.
We focus in more detail on one of the workheets, which was a starting point of a relatively extensive research studying the influence of the discussion comments on social networks on forming the opinion of the readers and also on character of their subsequent reactions in the discussion.
