'Bearing sons' in the Old English Heptateuch translation of Genesis

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the translational strategies of the female references between the Latin Vulgate and Old English Heptateuch - Genesis. It identified several editorial interventions - most of them are space-related.

However, one strategy seems to be rather cultural.
